...but I do kinda miss the numbers the EB put out
Granted the GT takes 87 and the EB required premium which is currently $0.40 more per gallon

Hmmm, my GTO requires premium, but I average 18-20

What’s the range you get out of a tank?

As my 10yr old daughters would say I’m jelly. My 5.0 f150 is only getting 15.2mpg and my EB flex is getting 17 on premium. I wear my lead shoes in the Flex though.

Could be worse. I was pretty stoked to see 20 mpg average over a roadtrip in the gx. I was thrilled when I saw 16 mpg out of the 80 series once...once.

My car will do around the same, but the V8 is pretty small and wayyyy less powerful so yeah that’s impressive

I’ll be curious to see what it actually works out to. In my experience the MPG readout on these computers is typically 2-3 mpg high. If it comes out to 15 MPG on a tank that’s not terrible , though it is well below the EPA “combined” rating. Frekkin 3.73s...

Don’t really know yet, this will be my first “typical” tank. We got 350 miles out of it pure highway and I made it just over 300 with 3/4 tank highway 1/4 tank “typical” day-to-day use. I’m about halfway through this tank and I’ve driven around 150 miles, so I’m expecting anywhere from 220 to 250 miles.
I usually got the EB out to 320 or so. Averaged between 21 and 24 on each tank. The GT tank is half a gallon bigger.

The GT for sure. I need to drive a performance pack ecoboost to see how it compares to the performance pack GT. My Ecoboost did not have PP, and by comparison the GT corners noticeably flatter and the brakes are MUCH stronger.
The EB has more torque down low, but once it’s above 3500 RPM it’s no match for the GT. And as much as I liked the way my EB sounded with the exhaust I had, and as much as I love turbo noises, nothing beats a V8 growl.

15 city, 25 highway, 18 combined IIRC. Of course you can bet those numbers were tested in the non-Performance Pack with its 3.31 rear gear. Mine’s a PP so it has 3.73 gears.

ahhh gotcha. still almost 17 mpg doesnt seem too bad for MPG

Hmmm... here are the results from my last road trip in my GT. The car’s computer is a bit optimistic in my Mustang - it actually calculated out to be 27.1 MPG. I’m averaging a calculated 24.4 MPG over those 10k+ miles.

My grandfather’s ‘89 gets 30 (No, really) on the freeway. Pop it into 5th and it just sips. Granted, you have double the horsepower and could beat it every other way.

Not bad at all. My ‘04 GTO auto with short headers, full exhaust, and a tune averaged 20mpg on a trip from my house in MA to Kent, NY. Nearly a 3 hour trip and 70% highway.

You know, my Z06 pulled 33 mpgs....
